Quantum Mechanics

www.myspace.com The Danish physicist Niels Bohr, who worked in Rutherford’s lab, was the first to describe orbits of fixed size and energy in which electrons are free to travel without losing energy and falling toward the nucleus. According to this model, published in 1913, electrons can only occupy or jump between fixed energy levels and cannot reside in between these levels. In addition, once in their “ground state,” electrons maintain the energy they contain. This energy keeps them in perpetual motion, allowing them to resist the attractive force of the nucleus.

    we have to have someone like einstein to figure out the questions we have now. the comparrision means someone has to know bout how to time travel TODAY. u say thats impossible but in the world off einstien where people learn to kil with ONE person,he figures out the thing that kills more than thousands of humans. so think bout that

    @Metallic7Dust We have observed elementary particles, such as quarks and gauge bosons. If you were meaning ‘observing’ as in ‘seeing’, we cannot do that. Given that the way we see things is the reflection of wavelengths 400nm – 700nm, it is impossible for us to observe particles. This is due to them being much smaller than the wavelength of visible light, and will consequently not reflect back.

    Eventually we’ll have technology powerful enough to observe exact locations and momentum of electrons, so these theories will have to be manipulated again; like they have been for thousands of years… and then we’ll be able to observe smaller particles… and then smaller… and then smaller… and then… get the picture?

    for example, the lightbulb, the one who first tought of the lightbulb was probably 10 times smarter then 99% of the people of today, or chess even, the most balanced game ever made even as of today. And probably the one wich requires most brain activity to master. and that game is hundreds of years old, and u tell me people today are intelligent, most of the people never even tried chess.

So I would think a lot of people who exist today “pwned” Einstein in many ways. But yes, Einstein was definately a genius.

It even completely supports everything the Bible says which includes all the miraculous powerful acts of God and His wonderful qualities and attributes evident in all His creations to the nethermost element of our being.     It’s quite clear that if humans have spirits, so do many other animals. Elephants and Dolphins are perfectly capable of making rational decisions, and Macaques are much, much more moral than humans are.
    Also, why do we need a spirit? Is it not possible that our brain is just matter that interacts with other matter?

    And guess what happened? It turns out you can RETROACTIVELY collapse a wave function. When they had the blind screen up, they got an interference pattern, but when they retracted the screen, they found it had passed through only one, even though they had not actually measured it at the time it was going through the slits. So, information can actually travel through time, since the electron could “decide” whether it had gone through one slit or both, even after it had already done so. Creepy, eh?

    It got even weirder when John A. Wheeler conceived of the “Delayed Choice Experiment,” where the tester would decide whether to measure which slit the electron had gone through AFTER it had already gone through. They put up a screen like the one used in the regular experiment, but they made it retractable, and put a pair of telescopes behind it that could measure its exact position, and they’d only decide whether or not to lower the screen after the electron had already passed through the slit.

    @tomasm2005 This would have the same effect. When a quantum particle is measured, it’s wave function collapses into a single point. When it is not measured, it behaves as a wave of possible positions. Where it is measured is irrelevant.
