Minecraft Experiments #2: Large Chicken Collider
July 5, 2011 by Actaphysica
Filed under Physics Videos
The first successful run of the collider, resultng in the conversion of matter into energy. In this experiment, the matter consists of 2 blocks of TNT, 2 pressure plates, 2 mine carts and 2 chickens. The chickens and mine carts naturally fuse together into two more massive particles that are then accelerated round the main loop. The chickencarts then strongly react with two pressure plates. The resulting process causes a chain reaction, causing the TNT to go critical. After the reaction, one or more of the mine carts remains, and some feathers are detected, having been scattered (presumably) by the explosive decomposition of the chicken particles.

@Nerdnumber1 If you were such a nerd… Then why use one sig fig for the speed of light?
[Reply]

How you make the perfect circle/dome shape????
[Reply]
@xkzldgjs Creepers will take over

You could use the booster tracks now to make them move faster.
[Reply]
@thefurryrailfan ITS OVER 9001!!!!!
[Reply]
@Nerdnumber1 holy crap, so you’re telling me that at speed two chickens have enough stored energy to nearly match the original design for the Tsar Bomba!? god-damn, and we eat them…
makes me wonder though, what about the stored energy equivalent of two humans being converted?…
[Reply]
do you now how to kil a chickin cut his cock off
[Reply]
what if minecraft allowed you to build nuclear weapons?…
[Reply]
TNT??

@spacecadet35 u sir know nothing about physics
[Reply]
@Nerdnumber1 Thats not even math.
[Reply]
Congratulations. You have accomplished one of the most pointless things ever. Of all time. Still kinda cool though.
[Reply]
The use of random minorly scienTific phrases in the description of this video is completely unnecessary.

theevindave, true – it was very promising, indeed. but it was promising because it announced two guys with enough guts to take it anywhere from there. so they both continued in a very honest way till this moment. and it could be hard to recognize sometimes, but both of them are deep in the funk science right now – each in his own way. respect to all.
peace bro…
[Reply]
at the time this was very promising, how could they fuck up so badly, anything they did together or solo after this track was utter SHHHEEEEEEIIIIITTTTE!!!!!!!, but this tune still gets me every time, best bass sound ever, great signing, wicked percussion, video not too shabby

The first techno record I bought was Cristian’s “Absolute Time”, I was 13, and I remember the shock I got while listening to it, I’m his big fan until today… love his deconstructed funky music, he was always ahead of his time…
[Reply]
