Stephen Hawking’s theory of black holes and Richard Gott’s theory of cosmic strings give hope to those seeking a route to time travel. Naked Science: Time Machine : THURS SEPTEMBER 11 10P et/pt : channel.nationalgeographic.com
Video Rating: 0 / 5

Watch for our 20-minute COSMIC JOURNEYS episode. It explores the power scales of the universe, from the least to the most energetic events and places known to science. All across the immense reaches of time and space, energy is being exchanged, transferred, released… in a great cosmic pinball game we call our universe. To see how energy stitches the cosmos together, and how we fit within it, we now journey through the cosmic scales of power… From atoms… nearly frozen to stillness… To Earth’s largest explosions. From stars…. colliding… exploding… To distant centers of power so strange… and violent… they challenge our imaginations.

@TheMrDJBlackout
Yes, but only without the Bolognese.

Spaghetties? Where we’re going we don’t need Spaghetties
[Reply]
@Lokke159 what do you mean proved you dont know anything
[Reply]
Why is it that whenever I look at a video on blackholes, they’re always so watered down and drenched with pathetic attempts at humor.. Just give us the facts!
[Reply]
@tangerinetomorrows I’m sorry if u didnt knew that.. but some austronauts time traveled to future, to a +2secds future or so…
And they repeated the experiment on CERN, they made MATTER, some highly unstable particles to time travel..
I cant explain it in a youtube comment, it is more complicated that this video…
It is not a theory, it has been DONE.

I bet he would go back in time and not buy that yellow car
[Reply]
is this suppose to be funny, kinda is but not.

The whole universe as we know it is inside a giant black hole. All the darkness is the “missing dark matter”.
[Reply]
@Lokke159
you are wrong, and should be embarassed at that comment
[Reply]
Time travel to future is possible and proved.
This time travel to past is theory, yet.
[Reply]
Hey Natgeo guys, I knew that black holes spin when I was in first grade, but then it was my theory. I’m seriously intrested in black holes.

only chuck norris can control time

@TheMrDJBlackout Stop making me hungry

If time slows down at or near the speed of light, then is the light we see at one light year away, less than one years old???
[Reply]
@LayneStaley01 well, it’s supposed that there’re zillions of universes out there and each one is created in an instant. each action is theorized to split it. just a theory though.
[Reply]
This stuff is addicting to watch
[Reply]
@TheBungieDude loool what is bungie doing here!!
[Reply]
@Jmsessn even if going back in time were possible, i dont think ud be able to go back to a time before u were born i mean how could the universe handle that kind of information
[Reply]
what the fuck is this crap?
[Reply]
@TheMrDJBlackout >.<
[Reply]
I thought you need negative energy or something like that to prevent the wormhole from collapsing in on itself and sucking in the entire region or something….. But then again, that’s hard to come by. >_>
And why would you even want to time travel?!? I mean, you can change everything with just a few changes in the past, and you can be the cause of many different paradoxes….NOT good….
But great video!

@12omrsh Calm down you can belive in anything you want, and you dont have to get mad at people just ignore them.

should be out any day now
[Reply]
@EyeWarrior0545 me toooo
[Reply]
OMG OMG I can’t wait I’m counting down the days to when this will be uploaded
[Reply]
This is going to be very interesting cant wate to watch it. =]
[Reply]
I’ll be watching this for sure!

@jelen100 I like the new narrator better. The other guy was louder, but was tough to listen to. The new one isn’t as loud as the music, but he sounds like he knows what he’s talking about. Most of the science was developed by older guys. I don’t have a problem with them explaining it.
[Reply]
@jelen100 I don’t think so. Even thought the other narrator was louder than the music, he was tough to listen to. The new guy isn’t mixed as loud, but he sounds a lot smarter. Remember, most of the science was developed by older guys. They should be allowed to explain it.

intro: there is no unambiguous evidence which proves star formation is taking place: just because dust gets blown in certain directions, doesn’t mean it collapses into a new star!!! dust just clears from one area and goes to the next and a star which is ALREADY THERE is now exposed when it was previously hidden by dust!!! but u don’t see that explanation in textbooks … drdino.com

@jelen100 Hahaha yeah man the older voice sounded more appropriate.
But all in all, I’m glad a new episode is finally due soon!!!!! =D
[Reply]
dont tell this channel this but u can pause vid when u want and copy image and edit and send to friends and emails and put has back ground
[Reply]
i dont like this new narrator . sounds like 70 yrs old grandpa who does not understand it . the “original narrator” is better .
[Reply]
@michelXShawn This was pretty clear without subtitles. But yeah, sometimes I can’t understand what English speaking people are saying. Either they talk too quietly, use dialect or slang, pronounce poorly, and or such, but I miss whole sentences.
[Reply]
Sounds promising. But, if i hear no mention of dark matter or energy-i’m outta there.
[Reply]
Sounds awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing this!
[Reply]
@eusousuperior ahh, makes since :] thanks for the explanation!!
